Out My Window: New Experience

With  outmywindowTM , members can easily create curated lists (groups) and delegate exactly who gets to view their photos.  What kinds of groups would you create? The groups I would create would be family, friends, travels, moments, and art...just to name a few.

Geeky Collections

In The Big Bang Theory, Leonard and Sheldon had to have the gadget from their favorite 1960's film and nothing completes a geek collection like a time machine.  I am a blogger, therefore I need technology.  My technological collection includes an HP laptop, an iPhone, a Flip camera, a digital camera, a point and shoot camera, and now I am waiting for an SLR camera, ahem a Canon T3I maybe? (hint, hint hubby).   I am sure once I get my SLR camera, I will be looking for more items to add to my blogging collection.

What was your best online geek purchase?  What are you still missing from your collection?

Are You Smart Enough?

In The Big Bang Theory: The Complete First and Second Season on Blu-Ray Combo Pack, Penny and Leonard have a complicated relationship.  Even after going on a date, Penny ends up breaking things off with Leonard fearing she isn't as smart as the physics genius.  Being intimated by intellectuals is actually common in real life.

I have a friend who is an intellectual, we'll call her "Tina".  Not only does she portray confidence when she speaks, she uses big words fluently and effectively.  Oh, and she also throws out those critical questions every once in a while--leaving people to pause and try to interpret the question.  I literally had mutual friends confide and say that they felt intimidated when "Tina" hangs out with us.  They are afraid to appear or sound unintelligent.  Unfortunately, some of our mutual friends stopped hanging out with "Tina".

Have you ever been or felt intimidated by an intellectual?

Gossip Girl and Fashion

Fashion now is the statement or identity of a person.  One cannot help but notice the fashion statements portrayed by the characters on Gossip Girl.  There is Blair's style, a classic chic, and Serena's style, sexy and effortless.  I love both of their looks because they both portray confidence and sophistication.  Dressing to their personality style helps build confidence in each of the characters.

Bonus Features: Pretty Little Liars

It has been fun to blog about Pretty Little Liars.  I was privileged to review Pretty Little Liars Season 1 DVD.  There are bonus features in The Complete First Season, which include Pretty Little Liars: Two Truths and a Lie; It All Started with a Little Lie; Little Secrets from the Set; and Unaired Scenes.  These are all cool features, but my two most favorite are Two Truths and a Lie and the Unaired Scenes.

Without revealing too much on the Two Truths and a Lie feature, the girls take turns sharing some things about themselves not all of them true.  This activity reminds me  of the time my friends and I used to play as well as some of us do it now for fun.  It is fun to guess which is the truth and which is the lie because some of it can actually throw a person off.

The second feature of Season 1 that I like is the Unaired Scenes.  It is really neat to see which scenes could have been in the episode and how things could have been different.  It also is interesting to see how the characters may have been.  This is a great feature for those who can't have enough of Pretty Little Liars.
